About
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Qiu Lab at Stanford, where I integrate live imaging and 3D spatial transcriptomics to develop predictive models of how gene expression and tissue morphogenesis interact during heart and embryonic development. I received my PhD in Applied Physics from Harvard University, where I studied the multiscale interplay between mechanics and metabolism during early mammalian development. Specifically, I investigated how cytoskeletal mechanics organize metabolically distinct mitochondria in mouse oocytes, directly measured cell-generated forces during morphogenesis in preimplantation mouse embryos, and used noninvasive metabolic imaging to uncover metabolic dynamics and spatial heterogeneity during preimplantation human development. I completed my BS-MS in Physics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali, India. Outside the lab, I enjoy exploring the outdoors and practicing yoga.
